DeviceNet drop bus cables incorporate both a data pair (Pair A) and a larger power pair (Pair B). The smaller drop (thin) cable is used to connect sensors, actuators & switching to the larger trunk cable. They have stranded tinned copper conductors (Pair A = 24AWG, Pair B = 22AWG), polyethylene (PE) core insulation, each pair individually aluminium foil screened, common 22AWG tinned copper drain wire, overall tinned copper braid screen and a violet sheath (material varies) as standard. Armoured versions with black sheathing are available.
