SIF/GL single core glass fibre braided high temperature silicone cables are designed for use where PVC cables become brittle due to high temperature variations with mechanical protection provided by the braid. They have stranded tinned copper conductors, a silicone rubber sheath and external glass fibre braiding available in a variety of colours. Suitable for the internal wiring of appliances, lighting, power supplies, panels and electronics.

Silicone Rubber Information:
More accurately called polymerizedsiloxane or polysiloxanes this compound is resistant to vegetable and animal fats, to many types of oil and diluted acids. There is no decomposition on exposure to alcohol or alkaline solutions and if the cable burns an insulating layer of silicone dioxide will remain, rendering the cable short circuit proof.
