SIHF-CU-Si multicore screened high temperature silicone cables are designed for power and control use in process work where continual operation at high temperatures is required. They have stranded tinned copper conductors, silicone rubber core insulation, silicone rubber inner sheath or polyester tape, tinned copper braid screen and a brick-red silicone outer sheath as standard. These cables are suitable for use in chemical plants, re-rolling mills, steel works, extruders, potteries etc. The braid screening provides excellent protection against electrical interference.

Silicone Rubber Information:
More accurately called polymerizedsiloxane or polysiloxanes this compound is resistant to vegetable and animal fats, to many types of oil and diluted acids. There is no decomposition on exposure to alcohol or alkaline solutions and if the cable burns an insulating layer of silicone dioxide will remain, rendering the cable short circuit proof.
