CW1128 petroleum jelly filled telephone cables are suitable for installation outdoors or running through ducting, but are not armoured and therefore not suitable for direct burial. They have 0.5mm or 0.9mm diameter solid plain copper cores twisted into pairs, PE (polyethylene) insulation and a petroleum jelly filled black PE sheath as standard. The outer sheath is UV and sunlight resistant and the petroleum jelly provides protection against water ingress.
