
Category 5e is an enhanced data transmission cable for computer networks running at 10 or 100 Mbps. It is a preferred choice for the 1000BASE-T specification. Cables are limited to a maximum of 100 m (328 ft) in length.
These 4 pair structured wiring cables allow voice, data and video to run through the same system, preparing the building for future needs. The standard cables have solid plain copper cores, flexible versions (also known as patch cables) of Category 5e cables are available in various colours.
